About Me
My name is Barry Laminack and I'm an MMA journalist based out of Houston, Tx (the humidity capital of the world). I'd love to lie and tell you that I've been an MMA fan since the head kick was invented, but that's just not true.
I'm a boxing fan that was eventually converted to MMA when I watched Yves Edwards KO James Berto with a knee to the grill. Once I saw that, I was hooked. Since then I've been a sponge, trying to absorb as much about the sport as I can.
Back in October of 2009 I started TheCageDoor.net along with a business partner. The site is focused on covering the Houston MMA scene, but dabbles in other scenes around Texas as well. In a short amount of time, the site has grown to be one of the largest and most popular MMA sites in the south.
If you don't know me IRL (that's "in real life" for the acronymically challenged) that's probably for the best. I'm not very handsome, but my hair is pretty awesome.

About The Complete Science
This blog is a general MMA blog, so nothing is out of bounds, but count on a heavy dose of Houston based MMA musings, with some national scene posts and philosophical topics mixed in.
I hope you enjoy the site. I'll do my best to keep it updated. As for expectations, set them low and you'll be happy. I don't have a formula and I don't answer to anyone but you the reader, so I'll try and keep it as informative and entertaining as possible.
If you need to reach me, please email me at barry@thecompletescience.com.
Thanks for stoping by!
